Calendar 539 Request from Professor Hugh Beykirch that the Faculty Senate substitute the following statement to bring UNI's foreign language requirement into compliance with 1991 changes in the Iowa code: "Satisfactory completion of two years of high school study in American Sign Language (ASL) or satisfactory performance in an achievement examination of American Sign Language proficiency and related issues." 1992-1994 UNI Catalog, p. 40, "Requirements for Graduation," D.
