Interdisciplinary approach to music teaching in the first three grades of general education in primary school

Abstract

Općenito govoreći, mnogi danas smatraju da upravo interdisciplinarni pristup omogućuje sveobuhvatni pristup učenju. Njime se omogućava međupredmetno povezivanje nastavnih predmeta. Kada govorimo o glazbi, nju je moguće staviti u korelaciju s gotovom svakim nastavnim predmetom i upravo je to jedna od činjenica koje se žele ispitati u ovome istraživanju. Istraživanje je provedeno u osnovnim školama gdje se učiteljima od prvog do četvrtog razreda poslala anketa u kojima ih se ispituje na koji način ostvaruju korelaciju Glazbene kulture s ostalim nastavnim predmetima, koje glazbene aktivnosti provode i u kojem dijelu sata. Rezultati su pokazali da su učitelji svjesni kako glazba pozitivno utječe na učenike. Zbog toga ju najčešće uključuju u neglazbene predmete u uvodnom dijelu sata kao motivaciju. Od glazbenih aktivnosti provode najčešće pjevanje te slušanje. Nastavni je predmet Glazbena kultura najviše u korelaciji s nastavnim predmetima Hrvatskim jezikom i Prirodom i društvom, a najmanje je u korelaciji s nastavnim predmetom Matematikom.Generally speaking, many today believe that the interdisciplinary approach provides a comprehensive approach to learning. It allows interdisciplinary connection of teaching subjects. When talking about music, it is possible to put it in correlation with almost every subject, and this is just one of the facts that want to be explored in this research. The research was conducted in primary schools where teachers from the first to the fourth grade get a survey examining them how they correlate music culture with other teaching subjects, which music activities they perform and in which part of the lesson. The results have shown that teachers are aware that music has a positive impact on students. Because of that, it is most commonly included in non-musical subjects in the introductory part as a motivation. Most of the music activities are performed by singing and listening. The subject of the Music Culture is the most in correlation with the subjects of Croatian Language and Nature and Society, and is least correlated with the subject of Mathematics
