US Energy Policy Changes and Their Spatial Consequences (From 1900. to Today)

Abstract

This paper deals with the representation of natural and social factors which influence the development of energy policies of United States throughout history. The US energy policy has the ultimate goal to achieve economic and energetic stability. This goal is achieved with the help of modern technologies, and one of them is the method of hydraulic fracturing used for hydrocarbon exploitation. However, as an obstacle for achievement energetic and economic stability of the United States, climate changes are involved in endangering energy systems, and especially the method of hydraulic fracturing which is affecting intensified climate change
