In 1999, she graduated with the first class honor from the faculty of Pharmacy, Naresuan University, Thailand. Her thesis is entitled “Purification of alkaloids from the soft coral Cladiella sp.” She worked after-wards as a lecturer at the faculty of Pharmacy, Srinakharinwirot University, Thailand.In 2000, she received a UFP grant from the NUFFIC organization to work in the group of prof. dr. Rob Verpoorte in Leiden University, the Netherlands. In February 2002, she com-pleted her master degree in Pharmacognosy with a thesis entitled “Quantification of phyl-loquinone from Nicotiana tabacum”. Later that year, she started working as a re-searcher in plant metabolic engineering at the group of prof. dr. Peter Brodelius in Linnaeus University (formerly known as Kalmar Univer-sity), Sweden.In 2004, she started her Ph.D. study in Mole-cular Pharmacology at the group of prof. dr. Rob Leurs, which resulted in this thesis. Since 2009, she has been working as a postdoc re-searcher at the faculty of Immunology and In-fectious diseases, Utrecht University, the Net-herlands.
