Professional conversations among mathematics educators

Abstract

The development of survey questions to address aspects of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) in mathematics for an Australian Teaching and Learning Council project led to intense dialogue and challenging discussion among the project team. Using the questions developed as a prompt, similar opportunities were provided to mathematics educators within the project team's participating institutions. These sessions had very positive feedback. MERGA members are invited to participate in a similar experience in this round table, and to reflect upon this approach for useful professionalleaming
