Box 474 Cookeville, Tennessee Dear Brother Chalk: November 12, 1963 It is my understanding that you have agreed to help raise money for the Fifth and Highland radio and television program known as the Herald of Truth. May I express my personal appreciation for your willingness to do this , believing that with your assistance many more people will be reached with the gospel of Christ . There is an urgent and immediate need for funds with which to produce more T- V films . As many $100 gifts as possible during this month will help meet a very pressing need . Then there is need for additional funds coming in from churches each month for the next few years, above and beyond what is already coming in . Recently a contract was signed by the Highland church in Abilene for time on Europe Number I radio station. This is one of the most power ... ful stations in the world , and can be heard throughout most of the European nations. This opportunity is too great to turn down. I be-lieve if brethren could see the great challenge that is ours in preaching the gospel around the world in this generation , they would be willing to help see this accomplished . What you are doing will mean much to the Cause, and you are to be com-mended for taking your time, and putting forth so much effort in help.. ing to raise money for this program. In addition to your helping raise money, may I ask that you remember brother Baxter and me in your prayers, that we might be able to do our task in the preaching in a way that would please God and reach many lost souls .
