His composition EADG forSolo Bass won the International Society of Bassistscomposition prize in 1997, and he has performed his twodouble bass concertos, Pop Song for Double Bass andString Orchestra, and A Grease Fantasy, at a number ofvenues. His most recent composition, Chorale for SoloBass was commissioned in 2012 by the ISB. Walker hasgiven masterclasses and performances in over a dozencountries, including guest residencies at leadingconservatories and music festivals on four continents. Asan orchestral musician, Walker has freelanced with theOslo Philharmonic, the Canadian Arts Center Orchestra,the Handel & Haydn Society Orchestra, and the St.Petersburg Chamber Philharmonic. Walker spent last yearwith wife and two daughters on sabbatical leave learningGerman bow in Berlin.Siu Yan Luk currently holds adjunct faculty positions atRochester Institute of Technology and Opus Ithaca. Before moving to Ithaca, she taught at variousinstitutions such as Hochstein School of Music and Dancein Rochester NY and Monroe Community College.  Siu Yanstudied with prestigious teachers such as Barry Snyder,Ann Koscielny, Lillian Kallir, Claude Frank, Ju-Ying Song,and Eva Lue.  She has performed internationally inVienna, Paris, Hong Kong, and various cities in the US,including engagements as piano soloist with the HongKong Academy Orchestra in Hong Kong and EastmanPhilharmonic in Rochester, NY; premiering compositionsfor EAMA(European American Musical Alliance) at LaSchola Cantorum, Paris.  Siu Yan is also a winner ofmultiple concerto competitions including the EastmanPiano Concerto Competition, and the Hong Kong AcademyConcerto Competition. In addition to solo performances,Siu Yan is active as a collaborative pianist. She has heldpositions as staff accompanist and accompanyingassistant at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts,Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, IthacaCollege, Hochstein School of Music and Dance, MonroeCommunity College, the International Viola Congress2012, and 2013 Northeast Regional Tuba & EuphoniumConference. Siu Yan received her DMA in PianoPerformance and Literature and MA in Music TheoryPedagogy from the Eastman School of Music; MM in PianoPerformance from Mannes College of Music; and BM fromThe Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
