Emery & Levine-Clark: The Devil Resides in the Details    Collaborative Librarianship 8(3):111 (2016)  111 The Devil Resides in the Details  Jill Emery (jemery@pdx.edu) Co-Editor, Collaborative Librarianship   Michael Levine-Clark (michael.levine-clark@du.edu)  Co-Editor, Collaborative Librarianship   As we embark on publication of issue three of volume eight of Collaborative Librarianship, we need to recognize some important people. In ad-dition to working on the development of new content for each issue, many of the folks in-volved most directly with Collaborative Librarian-ship have been working diligently and profi-ciently to migrate the content from the previous OJS site to the new Digital Commons site. It can-not be underscored what a tremendous effort this has been and in particular, Sheila Yeh, Digi-tal Infrastructure & Technology Coordinator at the University of Denver, with the assistance of Maria Mata, Metadata Technician, has accom-plished this feat through significant planning and persistent work. We are also working on enhancements to Collab-orative Librarianship to bring us more in line with the standards and practices of open access publi-cation such as joining CrossRef and being able to assign digital object identifiers (DOIs) to all of the hosted content. With input from the editorial board, we’ve also reviewed and re-written the About the Journal pages to better explicate the aims and scope of this publication. Lastly, we are working to insure re-directs from the old site are in place in order for the indexing to remain constant with all content. All-in-all, it has re-quired quite a bit of work behind the scenes to bring out the current issue along with all the previous content. Highlights of this issue include many new initia-tives underway across the breadth of our profes-sion. The timeline definitely slipped on this is-sue in light of the infrastructure work and while, it will be a bit abbreviated in length, the content is quite robust. Jill O’Neill, Educational Pro-grams Manager at NISO, provides an in-depth overview of the NISO Alternative Assessment Project. This paper outlines a collaborative en-deavor that has been years in the making. Start-ing 2013, the teams involved in this project worked first to define the project scope and then to help develop the recommended practices to be employed. Alice Meadows, Director of Com-munity Engagement & Support at ORCID, de-scribes how collaboration often arises from healthy competition within the scholarly pub-lishing realm. The two research articles in this issue focus on evaluation of content within libraries. One paper examines how a group of health librarians worked together to develop a strategy to evalu-ate their shared big deal packages. The other ex-plores how multiple libraries within a consor-tium worked together to evaluate their shared print collection for retention decisions. Both of these projects describe work undertaken by mul-tiple libraries to develop an evaluative process that works across different institutions. Our publication schedule has slid somewhat during this transition year. We’re working hard to get everything back on track and hope to roll out issue four quickly on the heels of issue three. Thanks to everyone for bearing with us during this transition.
