This event was the worst dust storm in 70 years. The air dust was some red soil from South Australia and the dust storm affected all NSW and SE-QLD. Some dust concentrations of 15 mg/m3 were measured. The following photographs were taken from the St Lucia campus (building 50, level 4) looking towards the city and from the Gordon McKAY Hydraulics Laboratory of the University of Queensland (building 48B). The pylons of the Eleanor Schonell bridge are visible in the background as well as well the construction cranes in the City (only visible after the dust storm)
