Classroom: KH 205  Required Text: None Class Notes Packet on Moodle  Catalog Description:  Prerequisites BA 2780 & MANG 3401. The nature of information systems and how computers assist management in decision making.   Includes examples in creating and implementing management information systems and an analysis of computer hardware and software.  Learning Objectives:   After successfully completing the course students will (1) recognize the value of information systems in business, (2) evaluate and manage the investment in business information systems, (3) understand the issues in developing and maintaining business information systems, and (4) evaluate new information technologies that impact business models. Attendance Policy:  Class participation and attendance is important.  Attendance will be taken at each class session and you will interact with other students in class during class discussions.  These discussions are an important part of the learning process. You must inform the instructor of the reason for any absence, prior to class.  Exams will use a combination of multiple choice and short essay questions. Academic Integrity:  Academic integrity is fundamental to the process of learning and evaluating academic performance.  Academic dishonesty will not be tolerated.  Academic dishonesty includes, but is not limited to the following: cheating, plagiarism, tampering with academic records and examinations, falsifying identity, and being an accessory to acts of academic dishonesty.
