Art-Appeal, an exhibition and art sale, will beheld Friday, June 10, to Sunday, June 12, 2005.Ceramics, paintings, prints, drawings, furniture,sculpture, jewelry, and photographs will beamong the many pieces offered at the sale. A listof participating artists is available athttp://www.unh.edu/news/news_releases/2005/may/cw_050523artists.html.          The sale, organized by members of The ArtGallery's Board of Advisors, is one of the manyevents offered throughout the university’sAlumni Reunion Weekend. Purchases willsupport both the production and presentation ofthe visual arts in the region; 50 percent of theproceeds go to the artists, with the remainingproceeds earmarked for exhibitions andprograms presented by The Art Gallery.           A sale preview and reception in honor of theartists will be held  Friday, June 10, from 4:30 –5:30 p.m. The sale begins immediatelyfollowing the reception, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.,and continues throughout the weekend:Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.          Sales will be by cash or check only; credit cards will not be accepted. A piece of jewelry,donated by Durham artist Valerie Sobel, will be awarded to the winner of a weekend-long raffle.
