Abstract

This is the concert program of the All-University Orchestra and the Boston University Concert Band performance on Friday, December 12, 1997 at 8:00 p.m., at the Tsai Performance Center, 685 Commonwealth Avenue. Works performed were Hansel and Gretel Prelude by Engelbert Humperdinck, Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in G major by Johann Sebastian Bach, Symphony No. 4 in D minor, Opus 120 by Robert Schumann, Festive Overture, Opus 96 by Dmitri Shostakovich (transcribed by Donald Hunsberger), First Suite in E flat for Military Band by Gustav Holst, and Fantasia on Gaudeamus Igitur by Edward J.
