Specimens of human and rat dentin were decalcified in 0.6 HCl for varying time periods. Mid-fibular de- fects were created in male albino rats and pieces of decalcified dentin matrix implanted into the defects. Several defects were radiographed at bi-weekly intervals following the surgical procedure. [TRUNCATED
