Friday, Oct. 14The UNH Women's Volleyball team plays MD-Baltimore County in the Field House at 5 p.m. At5:30 p.m., the traditional Blue and White Parade, complete with student-made floats, proceedsfrom Q-Lot to Memorial Field. A fireworks display follows the parade behind Cowell Stadium ataround 8:30 p.m. There is no charge for admission. Saturday, Oct. 15Runners and walkers will participate in the 5K road race Saturday, Oct. 15, sponsored byCampus Recreation. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. in the main lobby of the WhittemoreCenter, and the race starts at 9 a.m. on Main Street near the front of the Field House. Childrenages 7 and under can enter the quarter-mile Fun Run held immediately after the 5K.   The pre-race entry fee (before Oct. 12) for the 5K road race is $10; on the day of the race, the feeis $12. T-shirts go to the first 250 registered runners. Cash prizes go to the top three men andwomen finishers ($100, $75, $50); merchandise prizes go to top two finishers in each agecategory and in several special categories (no duplicate prizes given).  More than 50 volunteers are needed to help the race run smoothly. Volunteers receive a race shirtand are eligible for door prizes. Family non-alcoholic tailgating will be held in Lot A, and traditional tailgating will be held onBoulder Field, both from 9 a.m. to noon. A ticket to the football game is required for entry to thetailgating areas; the fee for both areas is $5 per car. Official functions will be held in UpperField. A number of alumni groups will hold special tailgating gatherings under tents near the alumnitent on Boulder Field on Main Street. (To find each group, alumni and friends can look forbanners or flags on display.) At Homecoming headquarters – the UNH Alumni Association’s big tent on Boulder Field onMain Street – children can enjoy a free carnival fair with face-painting and other family-friendlyactivities from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The UNH football game against the University of Rhode Island kicks off in Cowell Stadium atnoon Saturday.
