The program to be held at UNH's GablesCommunity Room Wednesday, March 26, from 6:30 to8:30 p.m., will highlight the contribution UNH studentsmake to local communities and nonprofit organizations.During the current 2002-2003 academic year, UNHundergraduate and graduate interns contributed 59,000hours of unreimbursed services at more than 100 localinternship sites, including the Veterans AdministrationMedical Center in Manchester, FamilyStrengths inKeene and Dover, Wentworth-Douglass Hospital inDover, Frisbee Memorial Hospital in Rochester,Council on Senior Citizens in Portsmouth, SeacoastMental Health Center, N.H. Association for the Blind inConcord, Head Start in Manchester, N.H. PublicDefenders Office in Stratham and Timberlane HighSchool.Keynote speakers are David Lynde from the DartmouthPsychiatric Research Center, Charlene Thayer from theVisiting Nurse Association Home & Hospice, andMarci Morris from the N.H. State Division of Children,Youth & Families.
