Küresel değer zincirleri içerisinde Türk gıda sektörünün konumu

Abstract

World agricultural and food markets have become rather complicated during recent years as a result of increasing importance of food safety standards, information flow and coordination between firms and widespread use of improved information technology, transition from product controls to process controls, opportunities for distributing value creation processes to various parts of the world, concentration and asymmetric power relations within the supply chains. As a result, world food sector is under a structural transformation. Information flow between firms is replacing market signals. This new formation, called Global Value Chain by some researchers, is expected to have some profound impacts on Turkish food sector. In this study, status of Turkish food sector within global value chains is analyzed based on similar experiences of some countries
