EXCITATION OF NEUTRON, PROTON AND NEUTRON-HOLE STATES I N  THE 
(p,p' ) REACTION AT 160 MEV AND 96 MEV

1. The 9 2 ~ r ( p , p ' )  react ion a t  160 MeV 
Data have been acquired over the  angular range a t  0.908 MeV. These contaminants had been major 
from 10' t o  58', i n  s t eps  of 2 degrees, f o r  the  2' d i f f i c u l t i e s  i n  an e a r l i e r  experiment31 a t  61 MeV. 
and 4' (dgI2l2 neutron s t a t e s  a t  0.93 MeV and 1.49 Peak s t r ipp ing  and data  analys is  is  i n  
MeV, f o r  higher 2' s t a t e s  a t  1.85 MeV and 2.07 MeV, progress. For t h i s  experiment performed i n  
and f o r  the 3' s t a t e  a t  2.34 MeV and the  5- s t a t e  September 1977, the  overa l l  resolut ion was 80 keV
