Differential cross sections and analyzing powers for the 15.11-MeV state in 12c, but different 
for elastic and inelastic scattering of 200 MeV amplitudes are expected to contribute. Angular 
polarized protons from 6 ~ i  and 7 ~ i  have been measured distributions for each of the states seen in these 
in the angular range from 10" <eCm < 60" using the QDDM 6,7~i spectra are being extracted and analyzed. The 
spectrometer. Typical spin up spectra at elab=14" angular distribution for the (1/2', 1/2+) state at 
degrees are shown in Figs. 1 and 2. Excitation of the 0.4776 MeV in 7 ~ i  (Fig. 2) is expected to allow 
o', T=l state at 3.56 MeV in 6 ~ i  s clearly seen. The determination of Mi strength. 
transition from the (I+, T=O) ground state to this 0' Optical model analysis of the elastic scattering 
state has the same quantum numbers as the transition data is in progress.
