This project was to address the issue of sustainable community planning for Stantec Consulting Ltd. Successful applications of sustainable community practices, specifically the LEED-ND rating system, were researched to determine the most successful methods of incorporating sustainability into various aspects of community planning and design. This included aspects ranging from public transit to local food production. This research was then compiled into a Best Practices Manual, to be used by Stantec engineers when discussing options for sustainable planning with clients
