Water quality monitoring and control in the Malagasco Brook watershed

Abstract

This project addresses surface water pollution in a subbasin of the Wachusett Reservoir watershed. Water quality is examined in terms of physical, chemical, and microbial characteristics. Land use is also studied. The result is a set of data that characterize the subbasin and help to identify potential sources of contamination. Finally, a set of remediation plans are presented that address the pollution problem and suggest designs to improve water quality in the reservoir
