Integrated Pest Management of Stored Grain Insects: Current Status and Future Concerns

Abstract

Integrated pest management (IPM) has always been an important consideration in the management of stored grain insect pests. However, with continued depressed commodity prices, loss of treatment products, recent and impending legislative actions, and changes in consumer attitudes IPM has taken on an even greater significance. Of major importance in an integrated pest management program are the components that seek to prevent the establishment and buildup of insect pest populations.
