The legal regula-tions and development ofthe SGA arementioned first, followed by inform-ation about the state survey, topo-graphic survey and state maps. Thereis a chronology of state cartographyshowing the projects launched ineach year and when they were fin-ished, studies planned or completed,and map sheets in different scalesplanned or produced. The chapteralso contains data on the cadastralsystem, the national infrastructure ofspatial data and the digital archive,information and communicationtechnology in the SGA, internationalcooperation, and financing. Staff ofthe Central Office of the SGA weremainly responsible for this chapter.In the third chapter, which is themost comprehensive (268 pages), thework of cadastral offices in twentycounties and the City of Zagreb is de-scribed. Each county is shown on themap ofCroatia at the beginning oftherelevant section, while a separatemapshows its seat and the borders of allcadastral offices in it. There is a shorthistorical overview of each office,with the names of professionals whowork(ed) there and the most import-ant tasks undertaken. The staff of ca-dastral offices throughout theRepublic of Croatia were mainly re-sponsible for this chapter.The fourth chapter presents thebiographies of past and present dir-ectors, deputy directors, and assistantdirectors. Each entry is written likethose in lexicons or encyclopaedias –details of the person’s education,work and posts held, and activities inexpert, scientific, social and politicalorganisations. Each biography high-lights the individual’s contribution tothe work ofthe SGA.The book has 410 pages and 340photographs, 66 maps, 16 tables and10 historical documents. Prvo sunavedene zakonska regulativa i razvojDGU-a. Potom su dani podatci o držav-noj izmjeri, topografskoj izmjeri i dr-žavnim kartama. Dana je kronologijadržavne kartografije tako da je za sva-ku godinu naznačeno koji su projektipokrenuti, a koji dovršeni, koje su stu-dije ugovorene ili izrađene te podatci ougovorenoj ili dovršenoj izradi listovakarata različitih mjerila. To poglavljesadrži i podatke o katastarskom susta-vu, podatke o nacionalnoj infrastruk-turi prostornih podataka i digitalnomarhivu, podatke o informacijskoj iPredstavljanje knjige„70 godina Državne geodetske uprave“komunikacijskoj tehnologiji u DGU-u,međunarodnoj suradnji i financijama.Za to su poglavlje najzaslužniji djelat-nici u Središnjem uredu Državne ge-odetske uprave.U trećem, najopsežnijem poglav-lju, naukupno 268 stranica, dan je opisrada katastarskih ureda u dvadesetžupanija i Gradu Zagrebu. Na početkusvakog odjeljka na karti Hrvatske oz-načena je županija, a na posebnojkarti sjedišta i granice svih ureda zakatastar u toj županiji. Za svaki ureddan je kratak povijesni pregled, nave-deni su stručnjaci koji su u tom ureduradili i opisani najvažniji poslovi. Za tosu poglavlje najzaslužniji djelatnicisvih katastarskih ureda u RepubliciHrvatskoj.U četvrtom su poglavlju objavljeniživotopisi dosadašnjih ravnatelja, za-mjenika ravnatelja i pomoćnika rav-natelja. Svi su životopisi napisani na istinačin kao i životopisi u leksikonima ienciklopedijama– prvo sudani podatcio školovanju, zatim o radu i zaposle-njima i na kraju podatci o djelovanju ustručnim, znanstvenim, društvenim ipolitičkim organizacijama. U svakomje životopisu naglašen doprinos poje-dinca radu DGU-a.Monografija se sastoji od 410 stra-nica u kojima je prikazano 340 foto-grafija, 66 kartografskih prikaza, 16tablica i 10 povijesnih dokumenata.Urednici knjige bili su prof. dr. sc. Mi-ljenko Lapaine i dr. sc. Ivan Landek.Recenzenti su bili prof. emer. Nedjelj-ko Frančula, prof. emer. Zdravko Ka-pović i dr. sc. Damir Šantek. Knjigu suna Kongresu predstavili dr. sc.
