Optimizing techniques for musculoskeletal imaging of tire postoperative patient

Abstract

Knowledge of imaging principies and paraineter modifications of advanced imaging techniques-nuclear medicine, ultrasound, C71; and MR-aid musculoskeletal radiologisis in selecttvg dte appropriate examination for clinical questions; railoring imaging pammeters results in better image quality, thus more confident cliagnoses. Chcan evaluare for subile flactures often better than conventional radiography. Adjusting tire arca of interesi, increasing tire peak kilovoltage (kVp), and viewing images with posiprocessing software allow better Cf image quality. Proper modification of MR imaging parameters also provides useful information induding visttaltzing tire extent of osteolysis better than conventional radiography. Fast spin echo imaging should be used, gradient echo avoided, and fast inversion recovery used instead of frequency-selectivo fan suppression
