From research to publication. The edition process

Abstract

[ES] Introducción y objetivos: el proceso de edición (PE) comienza con la redacción del informe de investigación. Comprende procesos como la revisión, publicación, y distribución del informe de investigación. En el PE participan distintos agentes como son los autores, los colaboradores, los revisores, el editor y los lectores. Objetivo: ofrecer al lector la información básica necesaria para comprender el proceso y algunas herramientas que ayuden a los autores y revisores a mejorar dicho proceso y la calidad de los artículos. Método: se revisan los documentos más relevantes sobre el PE. Resultados: el informe de investigación debe cumplir requisitos de calidad, formales, éticos y legales. Se revisan algunos instrumentos de ayuda para cumplir dichos requisitos durante el PE. Se muestran las listas de comprobación utilizadas. Conclusiones: El PE incluye procesos y subprocesos cuya gestión ha de estar documentada. Los agentes implicados deben someterse a normas que ayudan en la gestión de los procesos. Las listas de comprobación son herramientas que ayudan a los agentes durante el proceso de edición a diseñar, elaborar, revisar, editar e interpretar los informes de investigación. [EN] Introduction and objectives: the edition process (EP) starts with the writing of the research report. Includes processes such as review, publication, and distribution of the research report. EP involves various participants such as authors, contributors, reviewers, the editor and readers. Objective: Provide the reader with the basic information needed to understand the process and some tools that help authors and reviewers to improve the process and quality of the items. Method: Review the most relevant documents on the EP. Results: The research report must meet quality, formal, ethical and legal requirements. We review some tools to help them meet those requirements during EP. Checklists used are shown. Conclusions: The EP includes management processes and subprocesses which must be documented. The participants involved must submit to rules that help in managing processes. Checklists are tools that help agents to design, develop, review, edit and interpret research reports during the EP
