On four days in the course of three weeks, two radiometers, namely EMIRAD (ownedby the Technical University of Denmark) and HUT2D (owned by the Helsinki University of Technology), wereflown over the Vils test site while intensive ground measurements were taken. The results of the data analysis aswell as of the comparison of the radiometer data with the in situ measurements are presented. Also, a soil moistureretrieval using the Land Parameter Retrieval Model (LPRM) developed by Owe et al. (2008) is performed anddiscussed.
