Feasibility and Cost-benefit Analysis Delivered by Drones in Distribution Network

Abstract

Tehnologija bespilotnih letjelica prvotno je napravljena radi vojne upotrebe. Danas je upotreba bespilotnih letjelica uobičajena stvar u komercijalnim djelatnostima poput dostave paketa, praćenja prometa, nadzora granica te različitih pregleda i inspekcija nedostupnih infrastruktura, a potencijali primjene bespilotnih letjelica u budućnosti su gotovo neograničeni. U ovom diplomskom radu se procjenjuju troškovi sustava dostave Prime Aira koji je predložio Amazon.com, a koji koristi tehnologiju bespilotne letjelice za dostavu paketa. Odrađena je analiza isplativosti zamjene motoriziranog vozila iz voznog parka Hrvatske pošte sa dronovima koji spadaju u grupaciju bespilotnih letjelica. Analiza je prilagođena pravnoj regulativi o pravilnom korištenju bespilotnih letjelica u Republici Hrvatskoj.The technology of unmanned aircraft was originally designed for military use. Today, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles is the most normal thing in commercial activities such as package delivery, traffic monitoring, border controls, and various inspections of inaccessible infrastructure, further more, the potential use of unmanned aircraft in future is almost unlimited. This paper graduate assesses the cost of the delivery system of Prime Air, proposed by Amazon.com, which uses the technology of unmanned aircraft to deliver the package. An analysis was made of the cost benefits of replacing a motorized vehicle from the Croatian Post Office and Amazon Prime unmanned aircraft. The analysis is adapted to the legal regulations on the proper use of unmanned aircraft in the Republic of Croatia
