Članak daje kratki pregled shema metapodataka bitnih za područje knjižničarstva. Opisan je RDF formalni model za razmjenu metapodtaka te je prikazan OpenURL standard za lakše identificiranje, pristup i nadziranje mrežnih izvora tehnologijom razmjene metapodataka kroz URL. Isti pridonose uvođenju reda na mreži i u informacijskom prostoru te omogućuju automatsko pronalaženje i upravljanje informacijama, što svakako treba biti predmet proučavanja suvremenog knjižničarstva i informacijskih znanosti. Autori navode PHP kod s OpenURL zadaćom te preporučuju implementaciju istog za mrežne publikacije s ciljem tvorbe COinS objekata te povezivanja informacijskih izvora na mreži.The article gives an overview of important metadata schemes for librarianship. It presents RDF formal model for metadata exchange, and also outlines the OpenURL standard for easier identification, access and control of electronic resources through the technology of exchanging metadata via URL. The use of metadata contributes to a better regulated web and information space. It is intended for automatic retrieval and information management which should definitely be the field of study in the modern librarianship and information science. The authors also define the PHP code with the OpenURL function and recommend its implementation into the online publications with the purpose of creating the COinS objects, and linking information sources on the Internet
