Abstract
Razvoj i upravljanje ljudskim potencijalima područje je koje je tijekom nekoliko posljednjih desetljeća sve značajnije prisutno u poslovanju modernih organizacija i to kako u ekonomskom (business) sektoru tako i u ostalim područjima i djelatnostima. Poslovanje suvremenih organizacija/tvrtki uvelike pa i presudno ovisi o kvaliteti upravljanja ljudima što uključuje pribavljanje i selekciju kandidata za posao, testiranje i vođenje intervjua s potencijalnim zaposlenicima, motiviranje i nagrađivanje zaposlenika te poticanje na daljnje obrazovanje, praćenje karijere zaposlenih i pružanje pomoći u razvoju karijere, kao i pomoći u upravljanju stresom i sve češće spominjanim »mobbingom«. Stručnjaci obrazovani u području socijalnog rada mogu, zbog svoje adekvatne dodiplomske izobrazbe, te dodatnih izobrazbi u okviru specijalističkih programa ili programa cjeloživotnog obrazovanja, biti iznimno kvalificirani za poslove razvoja i upravljanja ljudskim potencijalima. Dosadašnja iskustva nekolicine socijalnih radnika u Hrvatskoj, a još više onih u svijetu pokazuju da se socijalni radnici uspješno nose s izazovima ove djelatnosti, a budući razvoj obrazovnog programa za socijalni rad treba pokazati dodatnu osjetljivost za izučavanje područja razvoja i upravljanja ljudskim potencijalima te time još više potaknuti buduće generacije socijalnih radnika za uključivanje u ovo područje rada.The development and management of human resources is an area that has been more significantly present in the business operation of modern organisations in the past decades, both in the business sector, as well as in other areas and activities. Business operation of modern organisations/companies largely, even decisively, depends on the quality of human resources management, which includes recruitment and selection of job candidates, testing and conducting interviews with potential employees, motivating and rewarding employees and encouraging their further education and training, monitoring careers of employees and providing assistance in the career development, as well as help in stress management and increasingly frequently mentioned mobbing. The professionals educated in the area of social work can be, due to their adequate university education, as well as additional education and training within specialist study programmes or life long learning programmes, exceptionally qualified for the tasks of development and management of human resources. The experience of several social workers in Croatia so far, and many more social workers worldwide, has shown that social workers successfully cope with the challenges of this activity, and the future development of educational programmes for social work should show additional sensitivity to the study of the area of development and management of human resources, thus further encouraging future generations of social workers to take part in this area of employment
