U elektroenergetskim postrojenjima većinu naponskih i strujnih mjernih pretvarača čine naponski, odnosno strujni mjerni transformatori s feromagnetskom (željeznom) jezgrom (konvencionalni mjerni pretvarači). Napredak tehnologije omogućio je razvoj i uporabu drukčijih vrsta mjernih pretvarača bez feromagnetske jezgre ili uz uporabu drugih feritnih materijala koji imaju velike prednosti (nekonvencionalni mjerni pretvarači). U radu je predstavljena teorija nekonvencionalnih načina pretvorbe mjernih signala napona, odnosno struje, te najvažnija obilježja nekonvencionalnih mjernih pretvarača. Nekonvencionalni mjerni pretvarači imaju brojne prednosti pred mjernim transformatorima s feromagnetskom jezgrom: jeftiniji su, smanjeni su troškovi i pojednostavljenja njihova ugradnja, postižu veliku točnost u mjerenjima, manjih su dimenzija i imaju manju masu.In electrical power transmission system most voltage and current measuring transducers are conventional high-voltage and current measuring transformers with a feromagnetic (iron) core ( convetional measuring transducers). This essay shows the theory of unconventional methods of measuring voltage and current signals and the most important characteristics of unconventional measuring transducers.
