Razmatra se odnos struke prema objektima tzv. erotskog karaktera iz antičkog razdoblja. Materijal erotskog obilježja bio je gotovo u potpunosti ispušten iz stručne i znanstvene obrade i tek odnedavna ušao je u uži krug interesa. Navode se neki od bitnih razloga njegove dosadašnje odsutnosti iz arheoloških publikacija kao i recentna nastojanja da se prouzročena praznina ispuni i da se vrijeme, izgubljeno ispuštanjem takvih predmeta, što prije nadoknadi.The article considers the position of archaeology regarding erotic artefacts from Antiquity. Artefacts of erotic character were almost entirely disregarded in professional and scientific analyses and have only lately become a matter of specific scientific interest. The paper specifies some of the important reasons for their absence from archaeological publications, as well as recent attempts to fill in the resulting gap and to make up for the time lost by the neglect of such artefacts as soon as possible
