Specimens of the snipefish, Macroramphosus scolopax (Linnaeus, 1758), from the middle and southern Adriatic were biometrically analyzed during the demersal communities research project, MEDITS. The specimens (n = 103) were caught at depths deeper than 100 m. Total length ranged 4.8-16.0 cm, with a mean of 9.45±2.796 cm. According to the length-weight relationship, positive
allometric growth was established (b = 3.23)
