The Relationship between Work-Family Enrichment with Self Esteem and Psychological Security

Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the structural model of work-family enrichment with self-esteem and psychological security. Research method was correlation and the study sample consisted of 385 employees of a private bank in Esfahan city who were selected by convenience sampling method. Research instruments were work-family enrichment scale (Rashid et al, 2011), researcher made self-esteem at workplace questionnaire and psychological security scale (Golparvar et al, 2015). Data were analyzed using Pearson’s correlation coefficient and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of structural equation modeling revealed that there is a positive significant relationship between work-family enrichment with self-esteem and psychological security. Results of structural equation modeling (SEM) revealed that, work-family enrichment both directly and indirectly have a significant relationship through self-esteem with psychological security. Also, the results showed that, self-esteem is a partial mediator variable on the relationship between work-family enrichment and psychological security.
