Antimicrobial Treatment in Brucellosis Related Splenic Abscess: A Case Report

Abstract

Brucellosis is a common zoonotic infectious disease in our country. Despite splenomegali occurs twenty five percent of the cases with acute brucellosis, splenic abscess is a rare complication of the disease. A case of acut brucellosis with splenic abscess, which was successfully treated with doxycycline and rifampin combination without surgery is presented
