Abstract

In this article we review the concepts and historical background of both the family pedagogy and family education, in order to establish the theoretical context in which the subject Family and Education belongs. The subject belongs to the area of Theory and History of Education and therefore deserves its contextualization in their own knowledge area. Family Pedagogy is the science that aims to family education and family education refers both to the upbringing and education of children, and the training given to parents to educate their children properly. Currently both disciplines are essential in the formation of future teachers, since the tutorial function is central in their teaching practice
