Integração de Políticas Rurais no Desenvolvimento Regional: a Experiência da União Européia

Abstract

The applied rural politics in the process of european unification can be divided in two great sources: the one that forecast an exclusively performance on the farming economy - and, therefore, under a logic of sectorial intervention - and the one that forecast an ampler performance, searching the chaining of positive effects among differents sectors that affect the centrality condition of the territories. The first perspective was hegemonic between the decades of 1950 and 1970, and in the present time it observes a trend clearly favorable to the dilution of "the agrarian" questions in the regional development. The reflection about the european experience, still that loaded of particularitities, it can bring very useful elements to the understanding of the global movement of productive reorganization and its effects on the rural space
