Student Learning Outcome Evaluation on Nursing Management Subject Which Using Cooperative Learning Method

Abstract

Cooperative learning is one of learning method that can improve learning quality. Nursing program at Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences has implemented this method in some nursing subjects Including nursing management subject, However, until recently, there is MO evaluation on the effect of the method towards student learning result. This study aimed to evaluate student learning result that 'using cooperative learning as method in delivering the subject. Method: This study was a quantitative study that used descriptive analytic design, Total sampling was used to gather the sample which were all nursing student in the 7th-semester that took nursing management subject in this semester. Questionnaire were distributed to 90 respondents and data-were analyzed using frequency distribution test. Results: This study found that using cooperative learning. method which consisted with more than one learning method during delivering one subject is considered effective in improving students' ability in understanding the subject, Average mark that the students achieved foe this subject was around 80-89 which was considered high distinction. Besides that, cooperative learning can also "improving students' motivation in doing independent learning. Student can learn according to their learning ability, as a result, there was no differences in students' ability in understanding the subject. Conclusion: The used of cooperative learning Which has varies 1eamitlg methods is effective in motivating student to learn independently and also improving students" ability in understanding the subject. As a result, students can achieve high distinction grade for the subject
