Abstract
Invazivne biljne vrste svojim brzim rastom i razmnožavanjem te izlučivanjem različitih alelokemikalija
negativno djeluju na rast biljaka u svom neposrednom okruženju. Čivitnjača (Amorpha fruticosa L.) je
invazivna biljka koja dobro uspijeva uz rubove kanala i poljoprivredne površine. Cilj ovog rada je istražiti
djelovanje juglona koji inhibira rast brojnih biljnih vrsta te vodenih ekstrakata listova čivitnjače različitih
koncentracija na klijanje i razvoj pšenice (Triticum aestivum L.) i djeteline (Trifolium repens L.).
Istraživanjem je utvrđeno da otopina jugolona i ekstrakti listova čivitnjače inhibiraju klijanje sjemena i rast
mladih testnih biljaka. Kako bi se spriječio negativan utjecaj čivitnjače na istraživane važne poljoprivredne
kulture, potrebno je kontinuirano i sustavno pratiti njen rast i sprječavati nekontrolirano širenje.Invasive plant species have fast growth as well as fast reproduction and may excrete different allelochemicals
negatively influencing growth of variety of species in their vicinity. Indigo bush (Amorpha fruticosa L.) is
invasive plant that succeeds on the edges of channels and on different agricultural sites. The aim of this study
was to investigate the influence of juglone (known as allelochemical which inhibits growth of numerous
plant species) and indigo bush aqueous extracts on the germination and development of wheat (Triticum
aestivum L.) and clover (Trifolium repens L.) plants. Results showed that juglone solution and indigo bush
extracts inhibit seed germination and growth of young plants. To prevent negative effects of indigo bush on
the investigated important agricultural crops, it is necessary to monitor and prevent uncontrolled spreading
and growth of this invasive plant
