Abstract
Višnja (Prunus cerasus L.) je drvenasta voćna vrsta koja pripada porodici Rosaceae i potporodici Prunoidae. Poznata je od davnina, a danas je jedna od gospodarski važnih kultura. U Hrvatskoj se uzgaja u kontinentalnom i primorskom dijelu. Zabilježen je stalan rast proizvodnje i sadnje novih površina.Prvenstveno se uzgaja radi plodova koji se koriste za dobivanje alkoholnih pića, sokova i drugih proizvoda.Sour cherry (Prunus cerasus L.) is woody fruit tree belonging to the Rosaceae family and Prunoidae subfamily. It has been known since ancient times and today it is one of the most important cultures. In Croatia is grown in the continental and coastal areas. Continuous growth of production and planting of the new areas has been recorded. It is primarily grown for the fruits used to obtain alcoholic beverages, juices and other products
