Abstract
Sokolarenje je najstarija lovna disciplina u kojoj se s treniranom pticom grabljivicom lovi divljač. Osobe koje se odluče na sokolarenje trebaju položiti sokolarski tečaj i ispit. Moraju biti svjesni odgovornosti koja dolazi s tim. Da bi se bavili sokolarenjem trebaju zadovoljiti nekoliko uvjeta. Ptici trebaju osigurati dobar smještaj i teren na kojem ima dovoljan broj divljači, a odabir ptice mora biti prilagođen terenu na kojem se planira loviti. Važan čimbenik je iskustvo i znanje. Početnik treba krenuti s vrstama iz skupine širokokrilnih ptica, kao što su crvenorepi škanjac, škanjac mišar ili Harissov jastreb. Another important factor is experience and knowledge. If someone is just starting to deal with the hawking, some birds cannot be used. The beginner should start with species from a group of broad-leaved birds such as red – tailed hawk, common buzzard or Hariss’s hawk.
