Cilj ovog rada bio je ukazati na to kako razvoj prometne infrastrukture u EU utječe na razvoj prometne infrastrukture Republike Hrvatske. Radom se pokazalo kako Hrvatska, zahvaljujući svom geografskom položaju, igra važnu ulogu u europskom prometnom sustavu. Budući da je članica Europske unije, Hrvatska je dužna dovršiti TEN-T mrežu, te poboljšati kvalitetu postojeće infrastrukture. Stoga je i nova strategija razvoja prometnog sustava Republike Hrvatske u potpunosti usklađena sa smjernicama iz nove prometne strategije EU. Imajući na umu navedeno, i više je nego očita međusobna povezanost, interakcija, te komplementarnost prometne infrastrukture EU i RH.The aim of this paper is to point out that development of the transport infrastructure in European union affects the development of the transport infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia. This paper has shown that Croatia, mainly because of its geographic position, plays an important role in the European transport system. Since Croatia is a member state of the European union, it has an obligation to fully complete TEN-T network and to improve the quality of the existing transport infrastructure. Therefore, the new Croatian transport system development strategy is fully aligned with the guidelines on the EU transport system development strategy.
