Abstract
Intenzivan uzgoj fazana u Republici Hrvatskoj ima vrlo dugu tradiciju. Fazani se u
lovište ispuštaju radi naseljavanja područja na kojima ih nema, stabilizacije populacije na
određenom području, povećanja brojnosti populacije prije sezone lova, unosa novog
genetskog materijala te regulacije spolne strukture populacije. Za uspješno naseljavanje
fazana moramo poboljšati kvalitetu životnih uvjeta unutar staništa te smanjiti broj
grabežljivaca. Fazane možemo ispuštati ovisno o dobi kao fazanske piliće uzrasta 5-6 tjedana,
piliće uzrasta 7-8 tjedana i piliće uzrasta 12 tjedana, zatim kao odrasle fazane za lov, matično
jato i poluiznešeno matično jato. Fazanski pilići uzgojeni u uzgajalištu nisu naviknuti životu u
prirodi te ih moramo postepeno spremati za život, odnosno podivljavati uz pomoć
prihvatilišta.The intensive rearing of pheasants in Croatia has a very long tradition. The main
reasons why we release pheasants int the hunting area are: settlement of areas in which
pheasants are not present, population stability in particular area, increasing the population
number before hunting season, intake of a new genetic material and regulation of a gender
population structure. For succesfully settlement of pheasants, we must improve the
lifeconditions quality inside their habitat and decrease the number of predators. Depends on
their age, we can release pheasants as 5-6 weeks old chickens, 7-8 weeks old chickens, 12
weeks old chickens, adults pheasants ready to be hunted, broodstock and half way carried out
broodstock. Pheasant chicks bred on the farm are not accustomed to life in nature and must be
gradually prepared for life or making them wilder with the help of shelters
