Abstract
Problematika čovjekove sredine postaje jedna od dominirajućih tema svijeta i vremena u kojem
živimo. Zaštita zelenih površina i osjećaj potrebe da se nešto sačuva i zaštiti je nešto što čovjek sa
sobom nosi od svog najranijeg razdoblja razuma i svijesti.
Cilj ovog rada je obuhvatiti i analizirati pojam zaštite hortikulturnih površina grada Karlovca,
podrobnije upoznati gradske parkove, njihovu ulogu u zajednici, sastav drveća i ukrasnog bilja
koje u njima nalazimo, te se upoznati sa metodama i dijagnostičkom aparaturom koja se koristi u
svrhu njihova održavanja.Man's living environment is one of the most dominant world issues of the time we live in.
Protection of the green areas and thee need to preserve them, is something that people have been
carrying in their consciousness since the beginning of time.
The goal of this thesis is to encompass and analize the concept of horticultural protection of the
Karlovac city areas, to get to know it's parks more closely, their social role, the structure of the
trees and ornamental plants that grow inside them, and to inform ourselves about methods and
diagnostic apparatus that is used for their maintenance
