Analysis of Objective and Subjective Methods for Assessment of Video Streaming Service

Abstract

U ovom završnom radu analizirane su metode i modeli objektivnog i subjektivnog mjerenja kvalitete usluge prijenosa videosadržaja. Također, definirani su pojmovi kvalitete usluge i iskustvene kvalitete usluge. Pojmovi su pojašnjeni koristeći različite definicije međunarodnih institucija i stručnih organizacija. Nadalje, klasificirani su parametri kvalitete usluge, dok je kod iskustvene kvalitete usluge opisano njeno vrednovanje s posebnim osvrtom na multimedijalne usluge. Naposljetku, dan je prikaz modela za analizu kvalitete videosadržaja, kao i evaluacijski rezultati pojedinih modela.In this thesis the analysis of objective and subjective methods and models for evaluation of video streaming service quality was conducted. The terms Quality of Service and Quality of Experience are defined using different definitions of international institutions and professional organizations. Furthermore, parameters of Quality of Service are classified; for Quality of Experience the evaluation process is explained with a special focus on multimedia services. Lastly, the thesis highlights the characteristics of evaluation models of video quality, as well as the evaluation results of particular models
