Examination of microbial purity of certain beverage packaging parts

Abstract

Nije utvrđena prisutnost kvasaca niti bakterije vrste Staphylococcus aureus. In this work, microbial population of certain beverages packaging parts that gets in touch with the mouth during consumption, were assessed. Total number of 51 samples collected from five supermarkets in Osijek were analysed. The main purpose of this research was to evaluate number and/or presence of aerobic mesophilic bacteria, molds, yeasts, bacteria of Enterobacteriaceae family, and specie of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus concerning ability of infection. Highest contamination of analysed samples were observed by aerobic, mesophilic bacteria (1×103/cm2), and fungi (4,7×102/cm2). Enterobacteriaceae, and Escherichia coli were present in lower counts. The presence of yeasts and Staphylococcus aureus were not observed in analysed samples
