Indonesia merupakan negara yang kaya akan keragaman flora. Iklim
Indonesia mendukung berbagai jenis tanaman untuk tumbuh, termasuk salah
satunya adalah tanaman perkebunan. Kopi merupakan salah satu tanaman
perkebunan yang telah lama dikenal oleh masyarakat sejak berabad-abad silam.
Indonesia hanya mengembangkan dua jenis kopi yaitu kopi Arabika dan kopi
Robusta. Provinsi Jawa Tengah merupakan salah satu provinsi yang
mengembangkan kopi Robusta. Perubahan luas lahan, produksi dan harga selalu
berubah setiap tahunnya. Hal tersebut akan berpengaruh terhadap penawaran kopi
di Jawa Tengah. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian mengenai penawaran
kopi di Jawa Tengah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi
penawaran kopi di Jawa Tengah serta kondisi elastisitas penawarannya baik
jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang.
Metode dasar penelitian adalah metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan
data berkala (time series). Lokasi penelitian secara sengaja yaitu Provinsi Jawa
Tengah. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder time
series selama 22 tahun dari tahun 1991-2012. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu
dengan regresi linier berganda pada fungsi penawaran dengan cara langsung
melalui pendekatan produksi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel yang berpengaruh nyata terhadap
penawaran kopi Robusta di Provinsi Jawa Tengah adalah harga kopi Robusta
tahun sebelumnya, luas areal tanam kopi Robusta pada tahun berjalan, produksi
kopi Robusta pada tahun sebelumnya dan harga kopi Arabika pada tahun
sebelumnya. Variabel yang paling berpengaruh terhadap penawaran kopi Robusta
di Provinsi Jawa Tengah adalah luas areal kopi Robusta pada tahun berjalan.
Elastisitas penawaran terhadap variabel harga kopi Robusta pada tahun
sebelumnya dan harga kopi Arabika pada tahun sebelumnya bersifat inelastis pada
jangka pendek (0,383) maupun jangka panjang (0,923). Kopi Arabika merupakan
barang subtitusi dari kopi Robusta karena elastisitas silang menunjukkan angka
positif. Saran yang diberikan : peningkatan kualitas produksi kopi robusta
sehingga perkembangan arah produksi robusta terhadap penawaran kopi Robusta
menuju positif

Indonesia is a country rich in diversity of flora. Indonesia climate supports
many different types of plants to grow, including one of them is the plantations
crops. Coffee is one of the plantation crops which has long been known by people
since centuries ago. Indonesia only develops two types of coffee: Arabica and
Robusta coffee. Central Java is one of the provinces that developing Robusta
coffee. Land area, production and prices are always changing every year. It will
affect the supply of coffee in Central Java. Therefore, research needs to be done
regarding the supply of coffee in Central Java to know the factors that affect the
supply of coffee in Central Java and the condition of the supply elasticity: short
run and long run.
The descriptive research methodology was utilized in this research. This
study was conducted in Central Java Province. The data were collected using
secondary data time series for 22 years from 1991-2012. The analysis of the data
used multiple linear regression on the supply function by directly through
production approach.
The result of data analysis revealed that the factors influencing the
Robusta coffee supply were Robusta coffee prices in the previous year, the
Robusta Coffee total area of the current year, Robusta coffee production in the
previous year and the price of Arabica coffee in previous year. variables that most
affect the supply of robusta coffee were the Robusta coffee total area of the
current year. Supply elasticity to variable Robusta coffee prices in the previous
year were inelastic in the short run (0,383) and long run (0,923). Arabika coffee is
Robusta coffee subtitute because the cross elasticity were positive. Advice given:
