Abstract
The research of the physicochemical properties in the strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa) fruits with neutral day length, the 'Capri' variety, was conducted in 2018. The strawberries were grown in the field, in the summer season at the location Botinec, Zagreb, Croatia. The subject of the study was the properties of strawberry fruits of plants whose root was treated with microbiological preparations before the planting, with the addition of hydrogels to the soil. Before the planting, the root of the strawberry seedlings of the 'Capri' variety was treated in a few different ways: with mycorrhizal based product named Symbivit (Glomus spp.), with Symbivita in addition to Plantasorba (hydrogel) to the soil, with only the addition of Plantasorba to the soil and finally with combination of Umico (huminic extract) and Radiscudo (Bacillus spp. and Glomus spp.). The following strawberry fruits quality properties were analyzed: mass, height and width, hardness, content of the dry matter, total soluble solids, total acidity and fruit color. For the color of the fruit, the values of CIE L* and a*, b*, C* and H* were analyzed. Based on the analysis, the highest value of fruit mass was recorded in non-treated (control) plants (7.09 g). The highest ratio of soluble solids and total acids was recorded in the treatment with mycorrhizal based product (Symbivit) combined with a hydrogel (Plantasorb) of 20.63. The highest share of red color was observed in control plants (untreated plants)
