Abstract
Glavni ciljevi Europske unije su jačanje gospodarske, socijalne i teritorijalne kohezije. Kohezijska politika jedan je od glavnih instrumenata za ostvarivanje tih ciljeva. Ulaganjem u prometnu infrastrukturu omogućit će se integracija hrvatske prometne mreže unutar transportne prometne mreže Europske unije. Integracijom omogućit će se bolja dostupnost, mobilnost, a time i razvoj nacionalnog gospodarstva. U radu se daje prikaz prometne infrastrukture u Republici Hrvatskoj i mogući razvoj u kontekstu kohezijske politike. Poseban naglasak se daje na Strategiju prometnog razvoja, kao nacionalnog strateškog dokumenta. Opisani su operativni programi iz područja prometa kojima je Republici Hrvatskoj otvoren put za korištenje financijskih sredstava iz EU fondova.The main goals of the European Union are strengthening economic, social and territorial cohesion. Cohesion policy is one of the main instruments for achieving these goals. By investing in traffic infrastructure, the Croatian transport network will be integrated within the transport network of the European Union. Integration will enable better accessibility, mobility, and thus the development of the national economy. This paper presents the transport infrastructure in the Republic of Croatia and possible development in the context of cohesion policy. Particular emphasis is given to the Transport Development Strategy as a national strategic document. Operational programs in the field of transport are described, with the Republic of Croatia open the way for the use of funds from EU funds
