Analysis of the Benefits of Intermodal Transport

Abstract

Danas se sve više ulaže u traženje alternativnih sustava koji će ubrzati procese i smanjiti troškove prijevoza. Jedan od tih sustava je intermodalni transportni sustav. Pojedine transportne grane imaju brojne prednosti, ali i brojne mane. Intermodalni sustav zapravo koristi prednosti pojedinih modova transporta i minimizira nedostatke pojedinačnog moda. Sukladno tome ovaj završni rad se bavi analizom prometne infrastrukute i intermodalnog prijevoza u RH u odnosu na EU. Prikazano je trenutačno stanje razvijenosti prometne infrastrukture i intermodalnosti u Hrvatskoj i EU te smjernice za budući razvoj.Today, there are more and more investments in finding an alternative system that would accelerate the processes and lower the costs of transport. One of those systems is intermodal transport system. Unimodal transport has it's advantages, however, it has many disadvantages. Knowing that, intermodal transport uses those advantages and minimizes the disadvantages. Accordingly, this final work deals with the analysis of transport infrastructure and intermodal transport in Croatia in relation to the European Union. The current state of transport infrastructure and intermodal transport in Croatia and EU is shown. Moreover, guidelines for the future development are given
