Abstract
Ovakav sastav i raspored stanišnih tipova pogoduje gospodarenju populacijama srne obične, svinje divlje, zeca običnog i jarebicom kamenjarkom u lovištu.Representation and distribution of habitat types in the state-owned hunting ground XVII/6 “MAGLAJ-CISTA” and their suitability for managing the main game species, has been described. The hunting ground of total 9,558 ha surface is located in Split-Dalmatia County. In the structure of surfaces in the hunting ground, with share of 78% dominate sub-Mediterranean coppiced woodland and scrubs consisting of pubescent oak and oriental hornbeam, or hop hornbeam, and scrubs of Jerusalem thorn. Dry rocky grasslands make 15%; patchy distributed open agricultural land makes 6%, while share of constructed and industrial habitats is only 1%. Such composition and distribution of habitat types provides good conditions for managing the game animal populations, such as: Roe Deer, Wild Boar, the European Hare, and Rock Partridge
