Mechanical Properties of Self-Compacting Lightweight Concrete after Exposure to High Temperatures : Master's Thesis

Abstract

Concrete is a building material resistant to fire, and the changes that occur in the concrete samples at high temperatures depend on the composition of concrete and the level of temperature. This paper investigates the impact of high temperatures on samples of self-compacting lightweight concrete with recycled concrete additives, silica fume and metakoalin. Samples are cylindrical shape, two years old, exposed to temperatures of 100°C, 300°C, 500°C and 700°C. After exposure to high temperatures in the samples was determined compressive strength, dynamic modulus of elasticity as well as changes in weight. Analysis of the test results is given in the work
